Let's think about people like Harry Dent, Peter Schiff and Gerald Celente. They have been talking about Doom and Gloom forever. One day each of them will be right.
======================================
OMG no! (eyeroll.) Not the 3 jackasses.
Remember The Three Muskateers? I call the 3 doom & gloomers above "The Three Jackasses".
Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Their track record isn't even that good.
IMHO, Schiff is a malcontent, sadly, like his dad -- who died in prison while serving time.

I just analyze XIV. It looks like it's down 23% from it's high. Back in Aug/Jul the downturn was also around 16 days and the drop from the peak was around 25.9%.
In 2016 there was a 36% drop.

Really!
No wonder I thought we were in a bear market. LOL

Lots of misinformation and wrong terminology on Twitter, so I would like to learn the proper things from you guys and other sF experts.
1. Apparently, SVXY prices have been reflecting short vol more accurately than XIV.
Trading SVXY means complicated tax forms required for IRS.
Do you monitor SVXY for any trading value info?
2. Currently, XIV has been trading below its indicative value (IV).
Many days ago, XIV traded above its indicative value (IV).
Sometimes, some people refer to IV as intrinsic value, sometimes as NAV net asset value.
I am guessing that NAV is the wrong terminology here.
When XIV traded above its indicative value (IV), some people said XIV traded at a premium.
Now, XIV traded above its indicative value (IV), some people also said XIV traded at a premium.
When do we say "XIV traded at a premium" and when "at a discount" ?
3. Some people went a step further, and said "premium should come off". Does this "above IV"
or "below IV" have any useful info value ?
Thank you for any light you can shed on the above.
